NY Times dialect

I took the New York Times dialect quiz and it got me pretty spot on with the map but for some reason it chose Reno as the city closest to my answers. I’ve been to Reno before and it’s sort of a mini Las Vegas not really my ideal city given a choice. It’s almost entirely red or dark red on the West coast.

After taking the New York Times dialect test, I have realized I still have the east coast influence on my terminology. I still use words like sunshine rain, fireflies, and not to mention I still consider freeways as highways but without the signal light.my result was picked the garden state Newark, New Jersey. However since I spent all summer in New Jersey,I wonder if that has influenced or refreshed my east coast dialect.
